A first class informative programme hosted by excellent professionals. Very worthwhile particularly for those new to extreme pain, it does work well.

If you don't have a victim mentality about your pain "why me, so unfair" this may not prove of any use. The focus is changing your mentality about your pain, which I presume is helpful if you don't already have a positive or neutral outlook surrounding it.

I found this program really helpful through all the steps . I have never been someone who listens to relaxation videos but I found these very easy to listen and relax to, I will definitely be using these in the future . I have enjoyed doing the online program . There have been a lot of things spoken about in this program from the professionals that will help me move forward and enjoy my life even with the pain I experience .

I’ve really enjoyed this online course. It’s given me a lot of useful information and advice on how to manage my pain on a daily basis. I can’t say I’m able to use all of the techniques I’ve learned but I’m giving them a really good go. I feel positive for the future and anxious as this is completely different territory.

I found the course useful, not for pain relief, but learning how to adjust to my new way of life of living with pain. Some of the sessions were really good for affirmation that I am doing some of the right things already but the sessions that I found most useful were around learning to pace myself and that it is ok to say no to going places without feeling guilty and also the sleep meditation sessions, I found these really useful and am still using them even after finishing the course. Anybody thinking that this course will be a miracle cure, it won't, but it will help to understand some of your pain and how to live with it.

I have found the techniques in Pathway Through Pain very useful and workable to relieve the pain I experience daily from sciatica & disc damage.

I managed to get on this programme as a member of public desperate to do a pain course. This course definitely needs to be made available to members of the public and not just referred by medical practitioners. Make it open I everyone.

I found the course very hard to start with. Seemed to get better them more you keep at it.The team of personnel's come across as very nice and simperfect manner.It comes across as if they know your pain and they are on this Journey with you all the way.which must be very hard when talking to a Screen.I have found this course hard with dealing with, beacuse of having so much pain and discomfort.The course has shown me different ways to try and make myself more Comfortable with Pain.The Relaxing side of the course has really been good and helped me to Relax and be in a resting mood before sleep. I tried everything suggested on this programme. Some of the exercises interfered with other parts of my body where I experience extreme pain . This exacerbated my pain and I was reluctant to try them again . The mental exercises did not lesson my anxiety and depression. Some of this course seemed patronising such as , find paid work , undertake voluntary work , spend more time socialising etc . If I were able to do these things then my life would already be functioning a lot better. I would say that a lot of this programme is well intentioned but it does not function on an individual level well enough .

I have found this program really useful, it has really helped me to manage my pain better without taking medication all the time. I would thoroughly recommend anyone with persistent pain gives this a go.

This course has given me ideas to help lessen the pain, it does not always work. But it also encourages me not to give up. My partner is a brilliant support and this course has given him a better understanding. I am a very high achiever, and find it very frustrating not being able to do the things I want to get on with, this course has taught me to break things up into more manageable activities. I wish it would go away, and am learning to live with it better.

I found this online course very good indeed. The different steps broken down into sections made it easier to retain the informaiton, plus not having to sit at the computor for hours and watch all at once. I will be checking back into the libray from time to time to remind me of the different technique. Thank you to the team.

I found the programme helpful in understanding the impact of the pain of osteoporosis and how to best manage it. Unfortunately I fell and broke my hip in February so was unable to participate fully in some of the exercises. However, the relaxation videos have been very helpful. I hope to revisit this programme as my mobility and stability increases and appreciate the continued availability of resources in my ‘library’.
