I found this course very helpful to me and has given me some tools to use in my effort to live my life with this constant pain, but I am not just going to give in to it. The course has also helped me realise that stretching and mindfulness sessions are helpful. I have been taking some mindfulness taster sessions privately and have also found this beneficial to my mindset, and with some CBT therapy I am having, my anxiety levels have dropped - that’s with all the Covid 19 pandemic as well. Thank you.

When I embarked on the course, my natural skepticism kicked in, but right from the start it was obvious that the presenters were understanding and sympathetic. As the sessions progressed I began to realise that my pain was no longer in charge of me, but that I had the power to work with it, and even on occasions to temporarily suppress it. This knowledge has given me a chance to reassess my future life. I would recommend this course to anybody.

This course has educated me on how I view pain, and my thought patterns around it. Not all of my thoughts were true and as a result they were not helpful thoughts. This course has challenged my thinking and I am trying to change my thoughts and attitudes accordingly, so that I can achieve a different outcome. I am managing my pain better, and being less harsh on myself when I have pain spikes and difficult days. I know that I can be my own worst critic at times and I am learning to be kind to myself.

I found the course very helpful but I have a lot of issues having Multiple Sclerosis as well and it makes it very hard but I will keep on trying to do what you have advised and will see where we go thank you very much

I have found ‘Pathway through pain’ a very useful tool in my pain management. I have gained real benefit through the personal touch of the presenters guidance and there are many aspects that I will continue to use regularly to help me. I especially like the meditations and have tried my best to use them before bed, they have made a real difference in my being able to get off to sleep and staying asleep. Thank you for helping me.

There were several benefits that I gained from the course: 1. learnt that pain does not mean injury and exercise is good 2. Although I already know that relaxation and calmness helps with pain, the course re-enforced this for me. 3. The course helped me focus on my body and gave me the incentive the target the pain (in my face and buttocks) and relax into the pain with the power of my thoughts. 4. Although I still have the pain I can manage it by using my positive attitude. 5. I do not like taking pain killers, so I was pleased to be told that most pain killers have a limited usefulness in relieving pain and in the long run they can cause their own problems. So I will continue to resist taking pain killers.

I would highly recommend completing this course. It is easy to use with some very helpful tips & information. I am already starting to reap the benefits & becoming more active after hearing the advice provided. It has given me some great tools like learning to pace myself & for the first time in 10 years I have been able to get back out into my garden, take control again, doing SMALL amounts at a time & being mindful that when it starts hurting to stop. I have also found this a huge benefit to my mental health also.... Thank you :)
