I have always tried to maintain my condition (degenerative lumbar spine) but when I have had periods of severe pain flare ups it became hard. I was recommended the course by my specialist and pain management team and I am really happy I did. The course confirmed in my mind the things I already knew and had provided me with new skills and techniques to manage a flare up. I always used to focus on whether the pain was because more damage is occurring but now I know more about this and feel so much more confident in how I will cope in the future! Thank you so much for putting this course together! Doing the course online is so easy I could do it at a convenient time for me in a place I am comfortable! Not some hall with uncomfortable chairs.

Its has been interesting to listen to the doctors, physiotherapist and other specialist throughout the course. The course has helped me to remember some of the techniques to use when the pain is really bad.

Well, I thought that this would not be of any use for me at all but I was wrong - It has really helped me in several ways! I would highly recommend that if you do this course you must make sure that you complete the whole course .

There is a variety of content presented in this course but unfortunately, I did not feel I learnt anything new that I was not already implementing in my life. Other users may feel differently, so please don't take my word for it!

I have little and no enthusiasm in many things I thought the course was too long winded and has driven me nuts. I can only concentrate for a few minutes before I lose the plot. The amount of times I've wanted to smash my phone, but just couldn't be bothered - it would have caused me more stress. The course is well worth while for people who can concentrate for long enough to do it.

I found this course very helpful to me and has given me some tools to use in my effort to live my life with this constant pain, but I am not just going to give in to it. The course has also helped me realise that stretching and mindfulness sessions are helpful. I have been taking some mindfulness taster sessions privately and have also found this beneficial to my mindset, and with some CBT therapy I am having, my anxiety levels have dropped - that’s with all the Covid 19 pandemic as well. Thank you.

When I embarked on the course, my natural skepticism kicked in, but right from the start it was obvious that the presenters were understanding and sympathetic. As the sessions progressed I began to realise that my pain was no longer in charge of me, but that I had the power to work with it, and even on occasions to temporarily suppress it. This knowledge has given me a chance to reassess my future life. I would recommend this course to anybody.

This course has educated me on how I view pain, and my thought patterns around it. Not all of my thoughts were true and as a result they were not helpful thoughts. This course has challenged my thinking and I am trying to change my thoughts and attitudes accordingly, so that I can achieve a different outcome. I am managing my pain better, and being less harsh on myself when I have pain spikes and difficult days. I know that I can be my own worst critic at times and I am learning to be kind to myself.

I found the course very helpful but I have a lot of issues having Multiple Sclerosis as well and it makes it very hard but I will keep on trying to do what you have advised and will see where we go thank you very much
