Very useful in many ways. Affirmed previous learning experiences. As regards hurt doesnt mean harm, id feel some input maybe useful as many exercise advice says if it hurts, stop. I have lumbar disc issues so im unclear when to ignore or listen to pain! Thank you for the course

I have various conditions that cause pain and flare ups, since I was 19 years of age. During which time i learnt to pace and adjust all the sports i was doing. Over the following 38 years i have had to adjust many times. Tried so many treatments. Whilst this course helped to remind me of all the things I already do. It did offer good advice with relaxation. I wish there was more alternative therapies available on the NHS so as a patient I would have real choice

"I have found that I have seen improvements in all areas that the course addressed. I am still very scared at times about the future, but am finding the things in the library may be comforting and useful. Will certainly go on to make use of those and the goal setting and pacing."

I enjoyed the course and found it appropriate to my relationship with pain. The exercises and relaxation techniques were of particular interest and I aim to practice them in the coming weeks. Referring to the library to refresh the advices. I will try to eliminate negative thoughts and aim for better nights sleep. I particularly like the thinking of alternative treatments to the pain killing tablets.

I found the course helpful with relaxation techniques and realising I need to be more selfish taking time out to look after myself. But trying to implement these daily is extremely challenging. ( once a week maybe ) Unfortunately my pain does need medical intervention which has been delayed or postponed due to Covid 19 and I am still awaiting an appointment with the consultant. But I did learn to limit my activities and rest in-between to enable me to cope with daily activities.

I'm very grateful to everyone involved in the making of this video, and i've found it very helpful generally speaking. I feel that because my problems are all very complex and of long standing, i will need to work really hard to try to get noticeable improvements.

Hi there, A few weeks ago I'd never heard o Pathwaythroughpain and I didnt think in a month of Sundays that it would do me any good. I started reading the first steps of the course many times but, if I'm honest, I couldn't see it having any impact on me, until I was laying in bed, going round the bend with the pain I was in so again I was looking to see if I had any emails and Pathway popped up yet again,so I thought well, s..t or bust and started to read and listen to it! Well cut a long story very short, the more I read and listened, the more I wanted to read it! Every day I would log in to see if there was another step and really disappointed if they decided to give a break! I'm not sure how long it took me to complete it, but today I've realised that I have completed it, I was gutted!!! But I then realised that, if I want to, i can go back to the 'library's and listen once again to the bits that i didnt 'get' and try and sort or understand it this time round. Pathway doesn't leave you high and dry when you complete the course you can go over it as many times as you want to,(I think). As my beautiful Granddaughter keeps telling me, I've written you an essay again! But I'm not going to apologise for it, I hope I've made you think twice before deciding it's just another course when it isn't! Well, good luck everyone who is going to give this Course a fair go at it, you'll be so glad you took the time to do it. The last bit of my essay goes to all my 'friends' at Pathway for giving me all the help I needed and I'll definitely be looking back on it time and time again. So from the bottom of my heart, a huge ' thankyou', Pathway and everyone who is involved in making it what it is! Thankyou, thankyou! Did I say Thankyou? Well, thankyou again and again!!!!! Lots of love, Susan H Ps. Thankyou to Jess, who must have been tearing his hair out with me sometimes as before this course I'd never done an email, he helped me through it! Thankyou, yet again. Lots of love, Susan H. Xxx

Once you are up and running on the course, it is easy to follow. Various professionals take you through each stage of the course via a video. You have a few simple exercises they ask you to do and some good meditation audios, that are well worth the bother - so shut yourself away somewhere quiet to do the course. No paperwork required. Simple questions answered on-line via the course to see how you progressing. You are allowed, so well worth it for meditation and exercise, to download so you can refer to it in the future.
