I have found your course helpful, but it is a pity that it has coincided with my ankle problem, which has nothing to do with persistent pain as, although I have had no pain while in the boot, it and not persistent pain, has of course limited my mobility. But, living near the water, I have still been able to enjoy my kayak by wearing a waterproof boot leg and workman’s boot cover found on the internet. There is always a way! Thank you for the course. I will use your library while I am convalescing.

Completing the course has made me feel more positive and optimistic at being able to manage my pain. I found the course easy to follow, and generally helpful and encouraging. I would recommend anyone who was given the opportunity to take part in the course to do so. Some of the information was already known to me, but it is good to have information repeated sometimes. I found the relaxation techniques particularly helpful.

I found the course helpful, and would recommend for others. Even if I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and scoliosis. I still have my backpain, some days more worse than other times. But the course very helpful.

The positivity from this course has helped me to have the confidence to start the new year with a new job. I was always very careful in what I did because I believed that pain meant damage and now I am doing a lot more and working through the pain, being careful to pace myself. The meditation has been really useful. I have definitely felt an improvement in my movements and sleep. It's really helped me sleep better so I feel I have more energy. I have found by sleeping better I am more positive and more mobile. Keep going and finish the course, it definitely has helped me with my overall pain and mobility.

Overall the course was quite helpful, especially the meditation. I found the relaxation certainly helped me to begin to understand the pain, although it did not disappear. But I did not expect it to.

The course helped reinforce key messages about pain and how to manage it. It allowed me to have a better understanding of chronic pain. The difficulty of the course is being disciplined enough to put it into practise day to day, especially when pacing and flare ups are dictated by work schedules. That aside, challenging negativity in thinking and consistency in efforts to achieve are the things that I take away to work on day to day.

I have enjoyed the course and found it helpful, although my ongoing pain still affects my life. Having this course online is a good thing for people like myself who don’t enjoy being around others and find it a problem mixing with strangers and this course makes me feel grateful and not being able to get out and having to rely on others to take me out when they can means I was able to complete the course from home for which I am truly thankful.
