I thoroughly enjoyed this course, although I wasn't expecting to! The information and guidance is paced well and it is great that there is the opton to pause while I take in information. I liked all the different approaches - especially the stretching and relaxation exerices which I know will be very useful for me in managing Fybromyalgia. I like that there is a library for me to return to at any time. I have already reduced the amount of medication I was taking which is very positive for me as I really do not want to rely on meds. In the past I was taking meds as soon as I expereinced pain; now I wait a bit and try other methods first. Before this course I hadn't really considered that 'pain does not mean damage'. A very simple but very important realisation that reduces fear and anxiety and reminds me that I can take control of managing my pain. Thank you very much to all the team for putting this course together.

I would recommend this course, the relaxation techniques are good and things are well explained. It’s not going to cure you but it’s another tool in your armoury to fight the dreaded demon pain.

Thank you. Any little thing to help come to terms with and to manage chronic pain is helpful and this course has been just that. The exercises are helpful and good to have to go back to.

Pain does not mean harm I don’t think this is true in my case in fact I know that if I feel sharp pain I must stop My pain is constant and that also means I have to pace myself to try and complete a task and indeed I think it will mean harm if I don’t stop

Found course helpful but I have struggled last months as sleepless nights due to ibs, dry mouth, night sweats make me wake up sometimes 10-12 times a night just aggravate everything course help reduce things

I am ever so grateful to each and every doctor on this program for your help and support . This program has given me a whole new way at looking at my pain , You have given me new management skills . I now have a whole library to use at my disposal thank you so very much , you’ve turned my mindset around on how to look at pain . I’ve lived with pain for around 15 years but now I know I just have pain in my day , where it had took over my life . I allowed it too .You gave me Meditation and management skills that have really helped me . I always thought I was damaging myself if I pushed to hard now I know I can Exercise stretch and maybe even book a massage. Ye giving me so so much more. ! All I can see is brightness ahead . This course has been so helpful, I realised that it’s more the fatigue that I struggle with than the pain and feel an increased confidence in being able to manage my symptoms. Breaking it down into bite size chunks has been a great way to make sure I pace myself through it. I’m very grateful to the team for being able to organise this, and especially for making an online self directed version available as I wouldn’t have been able to commit to in person groups. I am pleased that I did the course and would definately recommend it to others in my situation. I have learnt to live with my pain and through this course have managed to control the amount of pain I am in through relaxation meditation and regularly doing the exercises. I still have bad days but take time out for them which allows me to carry on. This course has been invaluable.
